SVdP is a community organization whose volunteers give hope and help to families and individuals:

• YOUR skills are needed! 
• Thrift Center Volunteer Opportunities are available in our Boutique, Clothing, Housewares, & Furniture as sales staff, drivers, truck helpers, and donation sorters.
• Food Pantry, SVdP Advisors, and Home Visitations volunteers work directly with clients.
• Support for Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, Grantwriting, and Fundraising allow us to help more neighbors-in-need, while our volunteers 'work' from home.

The core of St. Vincent Advisors services is a conversation with those who are experiencing hard times and are struggling to make ends meet. Trained teams work in pairs and:

• meet with clients at the SVdP Center
• share themselves with people in need and, by doing so, attempt to understand and assist with the grave circumstances of their situation
• partner with other agencies and non-profits in ensuring that those in Talbot County who lack basic necessities are supported
• identify essential living needs and emergency financial assistance for utility bills, mortgage and rent payments, temporary shelter, prescriptions and medical needs, along with transportation, food and clothing 

Our Friendly Neighbor Ministry is a social outreach program where volunteers:

• assist socially isolated people with one-on-one visits
• bring assistance and hope to those in need of comfort and companionship
• working with other support agencies
• are in available resources and reporting requirements

Our Friendly Neighbors volunteers brighten the lives of seniors and shut-ins by providing a human touch to the lives in a way that brings comfort to their daily life.

Ambassadors serve many roles:

• welcoming new members
• helping raise awareness of SVdP services
• managing special projects such as the Christmas Angel Tree for needy children and seniors, and assisting with fundraisers

Do you have specific skills that you want to share with SVdP but want to work from home? Do you have limited availability but still want to help? We welcome you‼!

While the SVdP mission focuses on people-helping-people, this organization cannot provide services without efficient behind-the-scene processes and functions, including:

• Phone Responders to handle and channel our hotline calls.
• Building Maintenance and Security to insure the functioning of systems, space designation and expansion.
• Backbone processes such as:
  • Grant researching and writing
  • Report tracking of services and volunteer hours
  • Recording meeting minutes
  • Writing thank you letters
  • Assisting with special events
• Computer, Database, and Website support to maintain and update as needed as well as providing guidance for future system needs.

This trained team helps members looking for spiritual support via requested person-to-person service, such as:

• maintaining prayer lists
• scheduling Masses
• organizing spiritual reflections

Help us to communicate our mission, activities and successes to clients, volunteers and supporters. Marketing is a fabulous way to become intimately involved in the organization while working from home:

• Photograph special events and fundraisers
• Write and submit press releases to local publications
• Coordinate with other committees to support fundraising efforts
• Write quarterly volunteer newsletters
• Maintain SVdP's social media channels and website
• Set up and promote Amazon Smile, Giving Tuesday, and other ways to donate painlessly
