We have a list of unacceptable items to keeping our customers safe. Given the frequency of Consumer Product Safety Commission recalls, we may not be aware of all announcements. The second reason is financial as well as respect for our volunteers' time to sort, prep, or discard items. If items are not worthy of resale, SVdP must pay for removal of discarded items, taking away the time and funds from helping those we serve. A quick guideline: if you would give the item to a friend, then we would love to have it in the Thrift Store. Thank you for your cooperation!
Furniture donations are sold to the public, with more than 98% of the proceeds used to support our neighbors in need. St. Vincent Advisors may provide vouchers for free furniture and housewares to individuals and families to help rebuild lives and homes.
If you have furniture in good salable condition (fabric without stains or tears) to donate, we’ll arrange for our truck to pick it up. Please submit your request via our form or all us at 410-770-4505 Please be patient as it may take a few days for someone to get in touch with you. Thank you!
